Meka Egypt needed a travel website where visitors could explore different tours, check tour details, and take the right action based on the type of tour—
whether that meant booking online, sending an enquiry, or contacting the team through WhatsApp.
Build a strong digital presence from the ground up, increase organic and local visibility, attract more qualified users and establish a scalable foundation for long-term growth.
We started by understanding how the existing website, theme, and booking system were structured. The main challenge was that the website had different types of tours with different user journeys. A single booking process would not work for every tour, so we had to plan the actions around the tour type. We also needed a proper way to organize tours by location. Each tour had to appear in the correct city category while still being available on the main Day Tours listing.
Another area we looked into was pricing. The booking system needed to display prices based on the number of people and the services selected by the user. To understand the available options and limitations, we went through the theme and booking documentation, researched different implementation methods, and tested the required functionality.
The Meka Egypt website was developed with a more organized way to display and manage tours. A dedicated Day Tours page was created to show the available tours, while city-based navigation made it easier for visitors to find tours in a specific location. Each tour was given the appropriate action based on its type. One-day tours were connected to booking functionality and WhatsApp, while hourly tours used enquiry forms. During development, we also worked on the booking features, pricing display, Paymob payment integration, and the layout of the tour cards. One of the layout issues was maintaining equal heights across tour cards, especially when tour content varied in length. This was resolved by working on the card structure and styling so the listings looked more consistent. The payment and booking features were tested along with the enquiry forms and responsive layouts before the website was launched. The website is now live and working properly.
